ERA: The Contest
The Young Writers Initiative proudly introduces our newest contest, Era. We live in many eras. We live in the era of technology, the era of social media, of space exploration, of existentialism, of division, of political change and stagnation, of acceptance, of oppression. We move through eras like childhood to adolescence and adolescence to adulthood. We depart from eras of ease and step into the real world.
Inspiration and Prompters
[technology, beauty, drama, music, politics, social media, publishing, equality, 2020, covid-19, religion, adolescence, childhood, playhouse, fake house, real house, love, heartbreak, shift, change, transform, reinvent, grief, mourning, closure, movement, end-to-finish, craving for change, fearing change, leaving, coming, seeking, history.]
- What "era" is important to me?
- What feeling or moment can I make into an era?
- Can "era" be a metaphor?
- How can I interpret this theme so I can enjoy it?
- How do I process change in my life?
- How do "eras" define history?
- How do they define my history?
