Statement: I want to be a mentor because I had so much fun last year being a TYWI camp counselor! Being a little bit older has allowed me to get different types of writing experience through unique internships. I'm hoping that my background will help someone feel inspired to write in all sorts of unexpected ways. I'm looking for a mentee interested in creative nonfiction or journalism, someone who likes reading memoirs, blogs, personal essays, or realism. Ideally, my mentee will also be interested in human-interest stories that make your brain think "truth is stranger than fiction." Writing discipline: journalism/creative nonfiction |
